We have a "Town Centre" Manager ?? News to me, and most people I know round here. Aren't these roles supposed to improve the areas for shoppers, local residents, and businesses alike ? If so Exactly what has been achieved to improve the shopping experience (for all concerned), both here in Chiswick, and in Brentford ? And as for "pop up shops", all I've seen, in the high street, is more and more shops closing down, often due, not because the business itself is unprofitable, but due to ever increasing rents being asked by the landlords. A town centre managers job should be about breathing new life into the shopping centre, and (just as importantly) making the shopping experience more enjoyable for all concerned. |
