On a Friday night in busy shops they cook Cod on a basis of it will be ordered so a fresh one is always ready. Haddock however is generally cooked to order. Therefore you have to wait longer in Leeds it's the other way round. Plus another thing you get in Leeds which just doesn't exist down here are proper fish cakes, a layer of fish then a layer of potato either side and then covered in batter. Down here we get mashed up crap with breadcrumbs. |
