Assistance yes, to a limit, but asylum/entry to the UK, No. What many of the Goody Goodies are failing to appreciate is that the vast majority of these people may be of a religion that is arguably the least tolerant and most demanding of all, with a huge sense of entitlement, and has some members who would like to blow us to smithereens. There is no doubt that those re-settled here would be extremely grateful, initially, however, after several years, when they are comfortable and entrenched, with their feet firmly under the table, religion would almost certainly start to over-ride any sense of their gratefulness. And then, I believe, the demands and other problems will start, so why knowingly invite probable serious trouble for the future? Contentious I know, let the attacks on me begin! But you won't change my mind :-) |
