I see Brentford FC's name has been invoked on this topic. To be fair, it is not just BFC who have an interest in Gunnersbury, but also Brentford Community Sports Trust. The Trust has already won numerous awards, both local and national, for the outstanding work it does in Brentford, Ealing, Chiswick and beyond. This involves literally thousands of people of all age and backgrounds, and covers education and social activities, as well as sporting. Therefore it is unsurprising that LBE and LBH should be interested in having such an organisation involved in their new proposal, nor that the Trust should be interested in turn. Meanwhile, here is an extract from a notice on the BFC website; "The focus is a £8million state-of-the-art sports hub, including floodlit tennis courts, artificial multi-sport pitches, grass pitches and an outdoor gym. These will be complemented with an indoor sports hall, modern changing rooms and café to provide year round facilities for residents of the two adjoining boroughs and for major London events. If the two local authorities are permitted to go ahead with the ambitious project, the popular Park will be revamped and its historic buildings will be restored in time for its centenary in 2026."
