"The focus is a £8 million state-of-the-art sports hub, to provide year round facilities for residents of the two adjoining boroughs and for major London events." .... Well i went to the meeting and the list of stakeholders is endless including Brentford Football Club and Sport for England being major stakeholders. So, if the numbers under the sustainablity banner have been done, i wonder how accessible/available the facilities will actually be to the residents and local community as opposed to all the big stakeholders and the council more or less knowing that those facilities are gonna be pretty much booked up on block and en masse and the residents/local community ain't gonna get much of a look in. Is this just another sneaky sequestration of public land for primarily 'private' ownership/use facilitated by the councils involved ie. we can go look but we can't touch? |
