'UK tax rules rarely if ever give any relief or reduction for loans incurred.' I find this an odd contention. Buy-to-let landlords claim for their loan costs as expenses against tax. And if I die leaving a property worth £500k with a £250k mortgage then my beneficiaries are only deemed to have been left £250k. |
