We place the blue bag sideways on top of the green box when it rains on collection day  so the green box does not get wet inside. That's not rocket science!! Shut the top of the blue back and as its sideways no water gets inside that either. We then just keep them in the kitchen for a couple of hours to dry out. We wash out the outside green refuse bin obviously and let dry,the plastics bag goes straight outside again but we always make sure no water can get inside it.
Now here's the issue! I can't even imagine how you can clean those big wheelies. And not cleaning them would be grim!?
