We replaced the bin under the sink with the larger food waste bin - and never used the small one (although we probably only make enough for the small bin every week).

A waste paper basket takes the paper, a cereal box the flattened card and there aren't very often any boxes.

The green box has a rolled up plastics bag inside it. We have a small bin in the garden which takes us weeks to fill with residual unrecyclable waste, which is tied down and which we no longer put out until full.  It would suit us to swap from residual waste in this to plastics as that is now the most bulky recycling but we have not got around to this.

We certainly don't want to fill our house and/or garden with oversized bins.  Why would anybody?

I remember WRAP stating that different properties needed different solutions and that there was NOT a one size fits all solution.
