Claire Most ingredients can be prepared in bulk. Not only will you save time in the long run but you will also save a fortune and you will know exactly what goes into your meals. If you like Indian food, seek out a small paperback called The Curry Secret which explains how an hour's preparation of a sauce base into batches which can be frozen can form the basis for over a hundred different Indian dishes. Batches of a good tomato, garlic and herb base (again for the freezer) can form the basis of pasta sauces, pizza bases, chillis etc. etc. It just takes a bit of planning. |
