| Cats are living creatures and should not be bought as "toys" for children. Cats are naturally solitary creatures - they are not dogs. In spite of some owners protesting about how "happy" multiple cat households are, cats should not be housed in close proximity with another cat. Yes, they manage, but the stress often shows up, sometimes years later, when they commonly get urinary tract problems and other stress-related conditions. Please look at the Feline Advisory Bureau website (fabcats.org) as they have lots of excellent advice and links to research. |
