Oddly enough Richard, this is correct.At the moment, it onlt applies to the Metropolitan Police area, but officers will no longer prosecute offenders for ignoring one way streets, banned turns and similar "trivial"offences.You may still be stopped for committing these offences, but officers can now only offer "words of advice" You may still be prosrcuted for these offences by the local authority if they have cameras covering the road where banned turns are in operation.These "trivial"offences are now covered only by the local authority. |
