Charity shops have to abide by the same rules as high street shops. Upholstered furniture has to have fire retardant labels and other proof of current build standards. Soft toys too. I have also found British heart foundation very effective but they don't take anything, they declined my Ikea tables. A few weeks after they collected they wrote me to tell me how much they made from the sale of the items I gave them, £197 for a wardrobe!! |
