| I have been trying to give the contents of my mothers house to charity, but christ they make things difficult.She has a good quality fridge freezer, cooker, washing machine, tv etc, so I looked at the adverts in the local paper to get some ideas.Hounslowct.org, gives stuff to homeless people.The woman that answered the phone sounded like Hyacinth Bouquet. What a snotty cow.She wouldn't even say if they wanted the furniture unless I could tell whether it was fire retardent.I put the phone down on her.Another one, the Wilberforce trust.they settle ex prisoners back into society and give them items for their home on the outside (well I've put enough of them away over the years) time to give something back.I was interrogated on the phone for 10 minutes before they decided they would take everything.i asked what would happen to the items.I was told some would be donated, and some sold.He took all my details then told me I would have to pay for the petrol for the van to collect it (approx £5) from Brentford.These people make out they are desperate for donations, then make life as difficult as possible if you want to give them things.Well, they can all bugger off, it's all going in the skip now. |
