| It is the same when you try to rehome an animal from some animal charities - no reply to applicstions, say they will arrange a home visit and don't, tell you you live too near a road to rehome a cat, tell you you can't have a cat if you will/won't let it out, or are very rude if you ask basic questions - I was told by one puppy rescue that they don't rehome to people who are too inquisitive when I asked a reasonable question about what they knew of the history of the puppy I wanted to rehome. Reputable charities are helpful and friendly, and fortunately there are some. Of course mostly they are staffed by volunteers but there is no excuse for rudeness. |
