A mixture of practical & sentimental really. The nuclear base at Faslane could be relocated, but it would be enormously expensive, and a massive arse-ache to do so, which we'd end up paying for, then there's the minutiae of the break up, all the other costs, which after the last few years neither country can afford, when the principle aim seems to be massaging the enormous Salmond ego. Then there's the sentimental, my maternal grandparents were Scottish and from the border areas, so there's a bit of a tug there, and although I like to have a pop at the sweaties I genuinely believe we're better off together. |
