| Greyhound rescue organisations usually insist that newly adopted greyhounds are kept muzzled on walks until their new owners can be sure they are OK with small animals. If they have been used for racing they have been trained to chase a small fluffy creature so their prey drive can be high. A lot of them are failed racers and do not have a high prey drive (which partly accounts for their failure on the track). |
