If sending letters has dropped so significantly, it’s good that they’re trying to hang on to the red pillar boxes by making them more capable of taking packages and parcels - though I can’t imagine a pillar box will take very many. It’ll also be the end of knitted pillar box ‘toppers’ as they will block the solar panel!
