The notion of an escape clause is a bit of a myth, anything that might exist in the small print of the written contract would be outweighed by the explicit and public admission that the arrangement is exclusive. If Lime were to come back, it would almost certainly have to be with Voi and Forest's agreement. I can't comment on the other issue but I think it is pretty clear Cllr Dunne is not lying when she says there is no easy route back for Lime. As for a breach of contract get out - that seems to have also been ruled out. Despite the new operators having delivered fewer bikes than they said they would when they took over, it was never actually specified in the contract and a council officer confirmed at the recent meeting in Bedford Park that they were meeting the standards required.
