| The old scapegoating routine, how do you know how many asylum seekers are illegals ? It's estimated that 70% of applicants pass the test the rest will be sent back, this never happened under the Tories as they sacked the civil servants who used to process the system .Instead putting them up in hotels. They've had 14 years to sort out this mess. As for the farming industry , there are over 200,000 holdings in the UK.in 2021/ 22 there were only 461 inherited farms worth over the threshold of £1,000.000, these would now pay inheritance tax at 20% not 40% . This is not to punish small farmers but to catch the major investors who use this as a tax dodge.Finally I would remind you that average man and woman in the street on paye is paying the highest tax burden in 70 years. |
