| Do you bother to read what people post or do you just have a knee jerk reaction to any suggestions that propose drivers consider others rather than just themselves? This is part of what Francis wrote: Too often I see - here in Duke Road, and along Wellesley road - drivers who just don’t stop at junctions when they should. Or, even better, drivers stopping at the junction, seeing that I’m coming, and then pulling in right before me so that they “don’t have to be stuck behind a cyclist”. It matters nothing that I’m well capable of doing the 20mph speed limit, and that they usually drive panzers so wide that they need to slow down or stop so that another panzer can come from the other way. What did you write in response? Stuck behind a cyclist? When they’ve got their own lane and apparently go faster than most cars. Please stop ! Where exactly are these lanes on Wellesley Road and Duke Road? Oh, there's a short stretch of road that cars can't use at the western end of Wellesley Road, and there is a restriction near the school at the southern end of Dukes Road. Is that what you were thinking of? |
