| Labour possibly didn’t do as well as it might have done in Uxbridge because head office parachuted in a Starmer acolyte as the candidate to replace of the one the local Party was about to select. That’s not the kind of thing to encourage local activists to put their heart into campaigning. Enough to make you want to vote Green, even, who got more votes than the slender Tory majority. Imposing candidates like this is something Starmer and his team have done in several constituencies, and is maybe something they should ‘reflect upon’ rather than leaning on Sadiq Khan about the ULEZ scheme. |
