RC: Sorry, Steve, but the "debate" has already been won. Quite simply, after a century of transport policy being skewed in favour of the car over all else, governments and populations all over the world have realised that this is (literally) unsustainable. Meaning that innovations like dedicated cycle lanes and LTN's as part - but by no means all - of a new approach to transport, are here to stay. On the other thread about Photo ID at elections, you advised that people might as well just get used to it. As someone who agreed with that, I would suggest you follow your own advice in this respect too. |
