| Is this another PR masterstroke by Margie Frew, “moderator” of the OneChiswick Facebook group? Margie previously showed aptitude for PR blunders by a ham fisted and inept attempt to hide an apology by Maggie Dodge on this forum. Posting dozens of times in an attempt to hide the post only succeeded in drawing more attention to it. Now it looks like the Onesies tried to pull a PR stunt, trying and failing to get Jeremy Vine banned from twitter and reporting this to the Daily Mail. It appears that if enough people complain, Twitter will automatically suspend an account but in this case, the suspension was quickly lifted and there appears to be no evidence of any tweets being removed. The Daily Mail story doesn’t give the correct twitter account so not clear if this was a mistake by the Onesies or the Daily Mail. If ever there was a day when no other news matters, it was the day of the Coronation. And to cap it all off, the Daily Mail reported the Onesies as a “anti cycling group”. At least they got that right. I’m sure there may be some fake sock puppet names posting in their defence just like there has been lots of times, before they get banned. The OneChiswick method of communicating with the council is also to send increasingly deranged anonymous spam email. I suppose using real names would be too embarrassing given how hopeless they are. |
