| 'People just need to get over the fact that ID’s are here to stay. Any law abiding citizen has nothing to fear. They should welcome it and cherish it. It protects everyone and ensures that voting is fair. It prevents illegals from bucking the system.' Really? What evidence has anyone yet produced to support this measure? What 'illegals' would they be? I doubt voting would be top of any list were I to be in a country illegally - surviving just might top that. All this cobblers about if you've got nothing to hide, you've nothing to fear - never works with those in high places does it? Look how Johnson and his acolytes are fighting against enquiries into his antics, what about the Covid enquiry, not to mention finding out what happened to all that furlough and bounce back money thrown at various thieves and con merchants and mates of ministers. The facts and figures bear out that there is hardly any voter fraud in this country, and in fact any decent government should be concentrating on making voting easier and encouraging participation, not coming out with claptrap to cover the sly underhand method of disenfranchising people on purpose, whilst at the same time playing games with our democracy. |
