| I think Chiswick is the ideal compromise between town and country. Surrounded by the beauties of the Thames, Chiswick House Grounds, and close to Richmond Park and various other delightful green spaces, you are nevertheless an easy bus or tube ride away from the centre of one of the world's great cities, and if you're going out of town, 10 minutes from a motorway and 20 minutes from Heathrow. As you might have gathered, rustic seclusion does not entice me. |
