I am in total agreement with Fiona H and Fiona B.  I love our house in Chiswick and it would be a wrench to leave but Wiltshire beckons and time spent there makes you realise that your physical and mental health is far more important than living in an increasingly isolated society that Chiswick is becoming.  It saddens me greatly that so many people are aggressive at the drop of a hat, insist that they are right and their views must prevail.  What is particularly sad is that the younger generation, having benefitted from the joyous occasions like Street Parties, book club, dad’s book club (they went out for supper to put the world to rights and get to know each other better) are unwilling to take on any community building tasks or even communicate with their neighbours.    Those that do are in the minority and are a joy to be with.

I feel my blood pressure rising when every thread takes on a political stance.  You are not superior because you hold certain views.  By the way I have listened to what Boris Johnson said regarding Brexit and I am convinced it was about ‘freedom’.  The freedom to choose, think differently without big boots walking all over you and puffing out a lot of hot air over a deliberately false interpretation in the hope of bringing about a change.  Too much of that and particularly at a such a dangerous time politically and financially.  There are more important and constructive things to say and do.
