| only old ex service personnel would put a labour camp twist on what I said. I Know the definition of the word, and its nothing to do with with people being rounded up a detained in labour camps. But when someone who lives in the area uses it, they must feel as thought they are being slowly closed in and have their choice of transport dictated to them by the Government through awarding funding to local councils who have come up with some half baked ideas. Its also been refereed to as a Gated ward, which when the estate agents get hold of the term will no doubt raise the prices of the houses with in that ward, then in turn the merry band of labour councilors may start thinking of raising the council tax band for the properties in that ward. You may say that's ridiculous, but in the very changed world we live in today, anything is possible, and its frightening. |
