Surely teenagers are expected to pay considerably more than £ 13.50 (the shared averaged cost) to watch football matches or go to the cinema for around 2 hrs entertainment ? As against 5-6 hours of cricket ? The loss of free to air test match cricket on the BBC or wherever is I would suggest far more responsible for any decline in the game at grass roots level than anything else, And possibly teenagers should be playing for schools sides in the first place ? To be honest this seems to be first on this forum. Usually I'm astonished at the amount people on here are willing to pay for meals etc even if they even consider cost at all. Whereas to me "careful" as I usually am with money £13.50 seems very good value for an afternoons cricket in a relatively built up area. michael adams ... |
