| It's Bollo Lane. There will be more traffic going up the Avenue and Southfield Road to reach the other side of the level crossing if the road were closed there. This would be mitigated by a reduction in traffic that will not be heading down South Parade and Acton Lane. However, the chances of Bollo Lane being closed right now are slim. It doesn't appear to have been mentioned by Ealing Council as being on their shopping list of road closures even though it makes a lot more sense than some of the daft ones they are proceeding with. But with the Prime Minister saying 'Build, Build, Build' today that will mean that councils will have to hit targets to get government money and this will make that much easier for the council. Closing Bollo Lane would put a big question mark over the viability of the project. |
