Ealing seems to be matching Hounslow in their capacity to keep the planned changes as state secrets if the article by Andrew Steed is anything to go by. I think it is inevitable that Fishers Lane will have to close and its delusional to think this won't put pressure on Acton Lane and South Parade. With the announcement of the Bollo Brook House proposals there will be more traffic along this way, initially construction related but eventually because of the thousands of extra people moving into Bollo Lane. One way to remove this pressure would be to close Bollo Lane at the level crossing.The irony is that for all the new age claptrap that the developers are coming out with about their tower block's name symbolising bringing Acton and Chiswick together, it could end up creating a hard border between the two areas. |
