Good to get it off your chest.

But yes, they're all pretty much the same in terms of customer service.

If you're lucky, everything ticks along nicely - highly automated - and, crucially, without a human to screw things up. But occassionally, as has happened in your case, the gremlins take over.

But the cause of all this? We want to pay peanuts.
