Belatedly, thanks Chris. I think I knew that bus stop siting was largely a matter of history; and practicality, as regards road traffic, not practicality as regards pedestrians and bus users. Something needs to be done about this. There really are huge gaps between some bus stops. It's a big mad that the E3 stops twice in Turnham Green Terrace, and once before in The Avenue, travelling south, but only once between M&S and the station, travelling north. Similarly, there are large gaps along King Street and also in Chiswick High Road. Thanks for the CBP bus stop. I wonder if there could be a pedestrian-controlled light, to make it easier and quicker to get from the station to the bus, travelling east. I don't think it is? I am in touch with HH and will ask them about the puddles not that they are very responsive or that their responses make much sense. Thanks for dealing with the tree problem. |
