I contacted TfL8th Aug and had the following response - I had also said I hoped for the bus Countdown display as it is a much-used stop with buses diverging to different destinations, and better seating (as per M&S stop across the road) rather than the sloped strip of red plastic. "Thank you for contacting us on 8 August regarding the removal of the bus shelter at Chiswick police station bus stop (ref 1012742109). I am sorry for any inconvenience the removal of this shelter has caused you. I can confirm the shelter has been removed so that an upgraded shelter can be installed. This process will take 8-12 weeks. A fully upgraded shelter with upgraded seating will be put in place. I regret to inform you it is unlikely this stop will have a Countdown display installed. We have no current plans to install further Countdown displays; the budget for that project was used to implement the displays at the busiest stops throughout London. I hope you find this information useful. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further comments or queries.
