I went to the meeting and they said they aim to get the application in by the end of January or as soon as possible thereafter. They have already been talking to the planners and adjusting the plans and they said the actual application will be what they want to build. (although the plans they showed yesterday aren't the final ones) So basically any objections - whether it's about the destruction of a Victorian villa or the size and design of the proposed building - need to be made to the planning office (important) as well as to One Housing Group BEFORE the application goes in to the council so they know the local response in advance of decisions. Once approval is granted any objections will be pointless as it will be too late. One thing I didn't realise until one of their team told me last night, is that any basement flat or lower ground floor living space/accommodation is no longer fit for the purpose of living in apparently. Go figure?! Glad I don't have a basement now. Gives them license to demolish most large Victorian buildings I imagine. |
