| I'm going along to review the full plans. I'm sure they will have a lot more images and plans of their initial proposal, and I imagine with the intention they will scale them down slightly so they appear to have made compromises to the planning dept and local residents and still get what they want. There is potential to make a much better use of the plot without the complete loss of the Victorian villa though which is a unique building and within the conservation area. I may be wrong but I can't imagine anyone will be fighting to keep the proposed new building in 100 years time. This housing group do seem to have reasonably good quality architecture and buildings - however they also built the big green block of flats on Bollo Lane opposite Chiswick Park tube station - next door to the nature reserve - that also caused a lot of uproar and controversy but still ploughed ahead. |
