Like Tom, I assumed it must be a way of improving safety for eastbound cyclists, who currently have to cope with merging traffic off the flyover. I haven't looked at the roundabout end, so can't comment on that. I was surprised to see that the markings on it allow for 2-way traffic, as it doesn't seem wide enough for that (but I'm not a cyclist). |
