It *might* be something to do with the proposed 'Cycle Superhighway' Boris wants to put in between Kensington and Hounslow, but last time I looked CCF and the Hounslow transport crew were trying to run that down CHR instead. Not sure where that argument went. In any case it does cut out the roundabout for cyclists using the A4 corridor, which has got to be a good thing; big main road roundabouts are very cyclist unfriendly. The conflict with pedestrians at the east end is more than a bit odd at first sight, though. |
