I agree with your first post Malcolm. What I wonder though is why, if we are in a recession and having to make cuts left right and centre, we can then afford to help anyone out. On a moral level though, I think unless all neighbouring countries start helping each other out we may all end up sinking and who knows what will happen from there. There should be a pledge signed first between the countries, promising help in some way. It does seem crazy that Ireland has all the housing and we cannot come to some mutual agreement between us to try to rectify the problems we both have - (money, if we have it to spare) for use of some of their housing? Would this be possible? |
