| If 4,000,000 people are going to have their lives ŽblightedŽ by increased noise and pollution, why did just 700 turn up to your protest - thats a turn out rate of less than 0.0175% of the potentially affected people (if they all actually lived in the area and didnt just come for the fun of a protest, something most of us have been guilty of in our youth)! that sort of turnout is hardly indicative of massive anger amongst the people is it? it makes it sound much more like just a few NIMBYs standing in the way of legitimate progress. |
