Tonight's piece on BBC London news was on the effect of noise in general on blood pressure, and thanks to the efforts of Jonathan Watson, one of the CRASH activists, Chiswick was included. As luck would have it, the planes were on the southern runway approach (over Sheen and Richmond) at the time of filming, so the greatest noise here was from traffic. A short piece like that needs high impact, so it wasn't a surprise when the traffic noise was highlighted in the final cut. But the message and the timing with respect to the Government's (non) consultation was clear. All grist to the mill.
