| I understand that there were two "non public" underground tunnels in the locality to allow pedestrians to traverse the A4 Great West Road. One was in Brentford allowing Beecham's employees to depart the south side of the GWR (Wallace House and now renamed Barratt House) to cross to the north side factories and offices. To the east, Latymer Boy's School had a similar tunnel under the A4 to enable staff and pupils to get from the north side to the south side etc. Not secret ones..but local tunnels! |
