Basically functionality. The browser on its own is fine and tabbed browsing fantastic, but you now get that in IE7 as well, albeit in a very basic fashion. The fun in Firefox lies in its many addons: Googlebar lite with Customise Google which gives you a right-click search menu for any word or word group you highlight + allows you to maintain some privacy when visiting Google IE Tab which allows you to switch the rendering engine for any site so you can look at sites in IE from within FFx You can have your Favotites alongside you FFx Bookmarks Block Flash advertising or ads from certain sites and I have Cooliris which allows me to preview posts without opening them so I don't have to do the click/read/scroll down/click again routine on this forum It's actually a lot slower than IE7 but so much more practical. I could never give it up again. |
