| That's correct. There was a counter in the WH Smith in the King Street mall but it closed some time ago. My point was that the model that the MP seems to prefer for Chiswick is similar and that seems to contradict his claim it is the more sustainable one. Robert Dyas has seen increased losses for the last two years and so is being forced to diversify revenue streams but there is no guarantee that this venture will work. The alternative was a full service branch run by an experienced team that, by all accounts, had done a good job at Heathfield Terrace. On the face of it this seems like the better choice. However, the chances are that the Post Office and Andy Slaughter are aware of additional factors that are not in the public domain and make the Robert Dyas option first pick. |
