And that is where you are 100% wrong. If you look at the LinkedIn account of any ex Thames Water manager or director you can see how the majority of them have left Thames and gone into totally different industries. Likewise new managers joining the failing company have come from different industries with no water treatment experience. Thames’s last few managing directors have had zero water utilities experience.

As for the EA - it has never suffered austerity but it has been managed by people out of their depths.

OFWAT too has been a toothless regulator for decades. And have a look at who is on the Thames Water Board now!!!
