The proportion of households with one or more cars has steadily risen over the last 50 years, though the trend of households with multiple cars saw a slight decrease between 2020 and 2022. Long-Term Trends Steady Increase: The number of licensed vehicles in Great Britain has increased almost every year since World War II, with the exception of 1991 and 2020.” |
