All new Ford transits are ULEZ compliant - even the diesels have been compliant since 2016-ish. It must be very difficult to find a new van that is not ULEZ, so he is either wrong, you've made up the story, or he's been a bit of an idiot. Assuming he has managed to find a new van that isn't ULEZ compliant - or perhaps he bought a second hand pre-2016 diesel van (but he certainly didn't pay £28K for it), he can either: - pay £12.50 per day for the pollution he produces, - sell it and buy a new one, or - scrap it and get £5K to £7.5K towards a new vehicle if he's a sole trader. |
