You refer to the £28k this tradesman had to stump up for a new, less-polluting transit van. You fail to mention how much he recived for his former, high polluting van. If it was still reasonably new, then that will have offset the cost somewhat, especially with 2nd hand vehicles currently fetching unprecedently high prices. On the other hand, if it was an old vehicle - a "toxic little van", if you like - then your tradesman friend was going to have to replace it sometime soon enough anyhow. Therefore to ascribe the full £28k as an additional ULEZ cost is misleading, if not LYING [sic] |
