| I have lived in Chiswick for nearly twenty years which is nothing compared to many contributors to and readers of this forum. I have no intention of moving away even if a disgraced former PM moves here. I have no intention of moving notwithstanding bike lanes (or not), bus lanes (or not), the closure of Fishers Lane, cyclists, car drivers, aeroplanes, people who use the term Lycra-clad in the belief that it furthers their possible legitimate arguments, fireworks, festivals in parks, people who say they intend to move and never do, people who have moved but still feel compelled to contribute to the forum, people who dislike living here and tell us all the time, village idiots, a rather dullish middle aged vibe, anti-vaxxers, village idiots again (there are a few), people who post very nasty things on here who should know better, people who post vile things on here and don’t know any better, people who frame their view of the place they choose to live in not by their family, friends, networks, neighbours, community but by a sense of feeling hard done because things change. All that. |
