There is likely to a significant overlap in the group who decry masks and the group who will refuse the vaccine. Both groups will contain a significant number who describe themselves as "libertarian" - and resent anything that they perceive as inhibiting what they see as their freedoms. They reject the concept that both wearing masks and accepting the vaccine is primarily about doing these things to benefit all, not just themselves. They promote the notion that rejecting both is about benefiting themselves. In the US people in this 'libertarian' group are most likely to vote for Trump. Just an observation. |
