| Reading through this thread reminded me off all the old pubs that used to be in this small part of Chiswick.There was the plough and the wagon and horses where the new development now stands on Kew bridge.In the days when Brentford fruit and veg market stood on the large site where the Fountain leisure centre,and all the ground behind it is.These two pubs held a special licence that allowed them to open at 3 am so that all the market porters were able to get a drink after work.They also served huge fried breakfasts there were many times I had a full english and a pint |
